This Sunday 12th July, Fun Faith enjoyed their Summer Party in St Leonard’s Hall before breaking up for the summer. Every Sunday our Fun Faith children leave the church with a prayer and a lighted candle to learn more about the Christian faith in a fun and enjoyable way. Our children follow the same theme as the adults, but their lessons are undertaken with lots of hands-on arts and crafts.

St Mary’s children always join us for the giving and receiving of communion where they and a teddy or two are given a blessing at the altar rail. At the end of the service the children are called forward to tell us what they have learned and show us what they have been doing, most of their efforts are amazing and their work always receives a fitting round of applause.

Fun Faith meets on Sundays during the 10.30am service except for the first Sunday in the month Family Service when along with the rest of the congregation they are encouraged to take part in the service or they may be treated to a performance by the Puppet Crew. Revd Carolyn thanks all those dedicated people who work so hard to give the children lots of scope through which to understand the Christian faith and to give them a good, firm foundation on which to stand for the years ahead.

During the Summer all 10.30am services will be suitable for families with children. Our next Family service will be held on 6th September, then Fun Faith will resume on 13th September. They would love you to join them... Thank you
