We had to have out thinking caps on!

St Leonard’s Hall was packed to capacity on Friday evening for the Quiz Night organised by Kathy Rouse and her daughter Michelle. There were ten pages of questions to be tackled so we had to put our thinking caps on. The quiz started off with a ‘heads or tails’ game, before getting into the serious stuff of answering questions on a bevy of subjects. The quiz master set a few questions for Revd Carolyn, in a quest to get her to knock five minutes a time off her sermons if she got the questions wrong, however, Carolyn was determined to keep her sermons as long as planned as she managed to answer most of the questions put to her. During the short interval raffle tickets were sold and people could stretch their legs.

It was a really successful evening and we had lots of laughs and fun trying to remember the answers to the questions that I am sure we all knew however, there can only be one winning table and unfortunately it wasn’t ours nevertheless, we all seemed to have enjoyed the evening and look forward to another quiz night in the future. The evening raised in excess of £500.00 which will be put towards the repair of our Round Tower Shingles… Revd Carolyn said a big thank you to the quiz master and his wife and to Kathy and Michelle who organized the evening… Thank you so much.
