We will remember them.

We will remember them.

We were granted a beautiful autumn morning for the Armistice Day Service on Church Green. After we had been greeted and welcomed by Revd Carolyn, we sang that beautiful but poignant hymn ‘Abide with me’ we then had the Exhortation read to us. We listened to the last post accompanied by the lowering of the flag, then we all remained silent for two minutes. Following reveille, we listened to the Kohima Epitaph… after which we had the laying of wreaths… The service finished with prayers and a blessing – Such a lovely service in remembrance of all those who lost their lives in Two World Wars. We will remember them.

The welcome.

The welcome.

Armistice Day.

Armistice Day.
