It was Amazing!
Church News | Saturday, 18 June 2016 |
Yes, it was amazing on the 18th June to see how happy Ros and Ian looked on their amazing wedding day. St Mary’s Church was packed to see the happy couple arrive this afternoon. Ros looked stunning in an elegant, long white gown accompanied by four beautiful bridesmaids dressed in flowing cerise gowns plus a delightful little flower girl in white satin. The service at which Revd Carolyn presided and Revd Anne assisted contained some beautiful readings and joyful hymns including ‘Praise my soul the King of heaven’, ‘Breathe on me breath of God and ‘Love divine, all loves excelling’. Revd Carolyn who conducted the service spoke of Ros and Ian’s love of the village, church and community and of their fascination with geology.
Following the service Ros and Ian made their way out on to Church Green where everyone was able to take photos of the happy couple. Once all the photos were taken everyone was invited to join them and their families back to a reception and buffet at Broomfield Village Hall, which was beautifully, decorated with flowers everywhere. Ros and Ian generously requested that donations be made to St Mary’s Church funds to shingle the spire and restore the organ.
Being rather dull and overcast the weather wasn’t as good as it could have been, however that didn’t stop it from being an amazing wedding and reception in fact, it was an amazing day for all. Good luck to Ros and Ian from all of us…
