Village Fun Day-2016
Church News | Tuesday, 19 July 2016 |
All the fun of the Village Fun Day was held on 10th July this year. A lovely day, bright and breezy, was had by everyone as we milled around the Village Grounds. There was so much going on we hardly knew where to start, with games, displays, shows, B.B,Q’s, ice-creams and all manners of things including the crew of the local Fire Engine which always creates a lot of interest. Revd’s Carolyn and Julie joined members of the Methodist Church on a Churches Together Ministry stall, chatting to people passing by and encouraging the children and some adults to make dough shapes before livening them up with food colouring. We watched displays from the local children’s Karate Group, a Dance Group and an Exercise Group. We had Disney singers and dancers and a display from an Army Cadet Group. We met some beautiful Dogs and their trainers who were entering the dog-show and we could buy flowering plants, trees and shrubs…. So much going on…
David from the ‘Pan Café’ played music on his steel pan for us again this year, warm, tropical sounds which keeps us all bright and upbeat. Many thanks to everyone who helped make the day so successful, joyful and fun.
