What a flipping good pancake party we had on Tuesday 12 Feb, it started around 4:00pm with lots of pancake decorating for the children and a brain teasing quiz. The party started proper, with grace around 4:30pm with lots of super sandwiches, teas, coffees and squashes for the children. The sandwich tea was followed by lots of yummy pancakes covered in all manner of toppings.

Once everyone was filled to bursting point, Revd Carolyn called the children up for some games which ended with pancake flipping, so good were they at it that eventually Carolyn had to call a halt to all the tossing that was going on. Carolyn couldn’t resist getting some of the gentlemen onto their feet to see if they could do better than the youngsters! Sadly, they failed miserably and the youngsters were declared the champion pancake flippers of St Mary’s, Broomfield.

Carolyn takes this opportunity to thank all the people that did so much to help make this family party a success. To those who got St Leonard’s Hall ready, to Rachel who organised crafts for the youngsters and to the ladies who organised and managed all the eats and drinks, not forgetting all those people who helped wash up and clear away after. Thank you - Carolyn
