Flower Power

Flower Power

Its amazing what you can do with a few sprigs of greenery and a couple of bunches of flowers. Margaret Clarke and Kathy Rouse gave a flower arranging demonstration to the Carers Group this morning. Margaret and Kathy maintain the dainty candle holders that stand on the Lady Chapel Alter, so they are well versed in making small but nonetheless, beautiful arrangements for us all to enjoy.

The group sat around with their individual holders and it was amazing to see how each person put their own stamp on the miniature arrangements. Some of the completed flower arrangements were placed on St Leonard’s Hall window ledges, while others of us took them home so that we can enjoy them indoors. However, none were taken away before Kathy was kind enough to take some lovely pictures. A big thank you must go to Margaret and Kathy for giving those of us at the carers group some useful hints and tips on making beautiful and interesting mini-arrangements and giving us all a lovely morning to remember.
